Why does Benadryl exacerbate the symptoms of RLS?

yesterday I went to the hospital to get IV iron to which I had a severe allergic reaction. So they gave me Benadryl through the IV, which made me drowsy, as Benadryl always does, but it also made my RLS worse. What's the connection?
