Can the growing perception that "homeschool" is often just a cover for child abuse be reversed?
Unfortunately, we live in a society that thrives off the troubles of others. As a result, the media mostly reports on the problems, not the successes. However, there are equally reprehensible stories of public and private school abuses. The best defense are the facts that homeschooled kids are getting higher average scores on SAT and ACT than public school peers. Homeschool kids have lower drop out rates, lower rates of incarceration, and higher involvement in community service.
