Sewers or Arty people give a little help?

If you have any lace left to start again,cut it into a circle.Then cut away a piece of 'pie' so when you attach it to the frame it is a perfect fit.The fringing will cover the cut edges and a decorative knob to cover the top ? Not sure if that would even work or is what you are doing - but i hope it helped:)
